Tracy Boland will review updates in human resources/employment law since the start of 2023. Topics will include EEOC guidance on remote work, a recent ruling from the NLRB relating to confidentiality and non-disparagement provisions in separation agreements, possible changes in the legality of non-compete agreements, and federal laws relating to pregnant employees.

Learning Objectives:

•          Become informed about developments in this area of the law.

•          Understand how to implement changes in the workplace.

•          Plan ahead for compliance.

Speaker:

Tracy Boland is a Partner at Bowditch & Dewey and counsels clients on the full range of employment law issues from hiring to firing including performance management, investigations, wage and hour issues, leaves of absence and the accommodations process, discrimination and harassment issues and investigations and reductions in force. She particularly enjoys supporting clients as they work through novel and emerging legal issues such as navigating the ever-growing number of paid leave laws. Clients also rely on her to draft and revise employee handbooks, employment agreements, and severance and settlement agreements. Tracy also defends her clients when they find themselves in litigation.

Tracy is a graduate of the University of Vermont (B.A.) and New England School of Law (J.D., cum laude). She is affiliated with the Boston Bar Association, MA Bar Association, Women’s Bar Association, Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, and various human resources and industry trade groups of which her clients are a part.
